What should a Florida real estate applicant do when DBPR sends a missing-fingerprints notice even though the Livescan appointment was completed and paid for?
Staff Q&A from the 63Hours team.
Start by checking whether the fingerprint results were transmitted to the correct licensing destination. A payment receipt proves that you paid the provider; it does not, by itself, confirm that DBPR received the results for your real estate application.
The DBPR fingerprinting instructions explain why the profession's ORI number matters. An incorrect or missing ORI can prevent the results from reaching the intended destination.
For example, a receipt showing the correct name but the destination for a different profession is a reason to investigate routing, not evidence that the real estate background check is complete.
Do not immediately purchase another scan without finding out what failed. A rejected scan or a wrongly routed submission may require different instructions from the provider and DBPR. Keep the deficiency notice and any response together so the next person handling the case can see what has already been checked.
Keep TCNs and personal identifiers private. For the surrounding application steps, see our Florida license qualifications guide.
