Multiply length by width to find square feet, then divide by 43,560. A 220-foot by 198-foot rectangle contains 43,560 square feet, or one acre. Keep the units visible throughout. A boundary length by itself does not give area, and an irregular parcel needs the dimensions or method specified in the problem rather than a guessed rectangle.
