The lender's policy protects the insured lender's interest, while an owner's policy protects the insured owner's interest subject to that policy's terms. Those are different interests. Paying for a lender's policy does not make it an owner's policy. The course separates them for exactly this reason; exceptions and coverage should be read in the actual documents.
