FLORIDA REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE COURSE
Real Estate Related Computations And Closing Of Transactions
Section 6 of 20
Before the lender will release the mortgage funds, they require proof that their collateral is protected. The buyer must purchase a hazard insurance policy (homeowner's insurance) and provide the contact information for their insurance agent to the closing agent. If the property is located in a federally designated flood zone, the lender will also mandate the purchase of a separate flood insurance policy. These policies must be active and effective as of the day of closing.
