FLORIDA REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE COURSE
Real Estate Appraisal
Section 15 of 26
The Principle of Conformity states that maximum value is created and sustained when a property is in harmony with its surroundings. Real estate values are most stable when homes in a neighborhood are similar in size, age, quality, and style. A modern, glass-walled mansion built in the middle of a neighborhood of historic brick cottages violates the principle of conformity and may suffer a loss in value as a result.
