Section 24 of 29

Distinguish Between Mutual Recognition and Reciprocity. It is vital to use the correct terminology, as Florida treats these differently:Mutual Recognition: This is an agreement between Florida and other US states for non-residents only. It allows applicants to bypass the pre-license course and take a shortened 40-question law exam.Reciprocity - Florida generally does not offer "reciprocity" (a straight license-for-license swap without an exam) to the general public. However, full reciprocity is granted to active duty military spouses who hold a valid license in another state, allowing them to practice in Florida without taking a pre-license course or state exam.
