Property Rights
Section 26 of 28
Buyers purchasing directly from a developer get a 15-day cancellation period. The clock starts after the contract is signed and the buyer receives all condominium documents (a total of nine documents). During this time, the buyer can cancel the contract for any reason. To make this official: The contract must include a clear disclosure explaining the buyer’s right to cancel.Buyers are required to sign a receipt confirming they received the condominium documents.Important tip for buyers (and agents): Always verify that all documents listed on the receipt were actually received before signing.
