There are specific statutory timeframes that govern the processing and validity of your real estate license application.Application Validity: The application for licensure is valid for 2 years from the date it is received by the DBPR. If you do not pass the state exam within this 2-year period, the application expires, and you must submit a new one with a new fee.Course Validity - The pre-licensing education course completion certificate is also valid for 2 years from the date of the final course exam. You must pass the state exam before this certificate expires.DBPR Processing Timeframes:30 Days: Upon receipt of an application, the DBPR has 30 days to review it for errors or omissions. If the application is incomplete, they must notify the applicant within this timeframe.90 Days: The DBPR has 90 days from the receipt of a complete application to either approve or deny it. If they fail to act within 90 days, the application is automatically deemed approved (this is known as a "deemed approval").
