As you get busier, you might want to hire an assistant. In Florida, what that assistant is allowed to do depends entirely on whether they have a real estate license.Unlicensed Personal Assistants are administrative helpers. They can do paperwork, but they cannot do "real estate." They can: Answer phones and forward calls.Submit listings to the MLS (data entry only).Place "For Sale" signs on the property.Assemble documents for closing.Have keys made.Write ads (as long as the Broker reviews and approves them).Open Houses: They can attend an open house for security or to hand out brochures, but they cannot answer questions or show the property.Strictly Prohibited:They cannot show a house to a buyer.They cannot negotiate price or terms.They cannot give opinions on value (listing presentations).They cannot make "cold calls" to solicit business.
