Brokerage Offices and Branch Requirements

Section 4 of 31

The Solution: Temporary vs. PermanentTo save the company, you must fill the vacancy within those 14 days. You have two options: Option A: Permanent Broker: You find a new broker immediately who takes over for good. Option B: Temporary Broker: If you can't find a permanent replacement fast enough, you can register a "Temporary Broker" with the DBPR.Duration: A temporary broker can hold the fort for up to 60 days.Paperwork: This is a "quick fix." They don't need to file all the complex corporate paperwork with the Secretary of State (DOS) right away; they just need to register with the DBPR to keep the doors open.
