FLORIDA REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE COURSE
Authorized Relationships, Duties, And Disclosure
Section 7 of 31
Finally, it is important to know who calls the shots regarding these roles. The Brokerage relationships are determined by the Broker, not the sales associate. Even though you are the one out in the field talking to buyers and sellers, you don't get to decide strictly on your own whether to act as a Single Agent or a Transaction Broker. Your Broker owns the business and sets the policy for the entire office. If the Broker decides the company will only operate as Transaction Brokers to reduce liability, every associate working under them must follow that rule. You are essentially playing by the playbook your "coach" (the Broker) has written.
