If you get in trouble in your personal life, you must tell the board. If you are convicted, found guilty, plead guilty, or plead nolo contendere (no contest) to a crime—anywhere in the world (even a DUI in another state)—you must report it to the DBPR. You must report it in writing within 30 days. Failure to report is often worse than the crime itself.
