FLORIDA REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE COURSE

Law & Qualifications

Section 22 of 29

The Commission approves distance learning courses as an option to classroom hours. Distance learning courses must be interactive and equivalent to classroom study. Satisfactory completion of a distance learning course requires passing a timed distance learning course examination. This exam does not need to be monitored or given at a centralized location. Courses must be made available by correspondence or other means for students with a hardship who cannot attend classes or access distance learning. Attorneys - An active member in good standing with The Florida Bar is exempt from the sales associate pre-licensing course (Course 1) but must still pass the state licensure exam. Degree Holders - An applicant who has received a 4-year degree or higher in real estate from an accredited institution is exempt from both the sales associate (Course 1) and broker (Course 2) pre-licensing courses. The course completion certificate is valid for licensure for 2 years from the date of the successful course completion. If you do not pass the state licensing exam within those 2 years, the course completion becomes invalid, and you must retake the course.
