FLORIDA REAL ESTATE SALES ASSOCIATE COURSE
Law & Qualifications
Section 29 of 29
3) Division of Florida Condominiums, Timeshares, and Mobile Homes. This division provides consumer protection for Florida residents living in regulated residential communities. It handles complaints, provides education to board members and unit owners, and offers arbitration programs for disputes (particularly for homeowners' associations and condominiums). It also regulates the developers of timeshares and mobile home parks to ensure compliance with disclosure laws.4) Division of Real Estate (DRE) This is the specific division that supports the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC). Unlike the main DBPR office in Tallahassee, the DRE is headquartered in Orlando. The DRE is led by a Director who is appointed by the Secretary of the DBPR, subject to approval by the FREC. The DRE handles the administrative duties for the FREC, such as ministerial services (record keeping), regulating real estate schools, and providing the investigative staff who look into complaints against real estate licensees.
